FASTENING SYSTEMS: WHAT THEY ARE AND HOW TO CHOOSE THEM

While other terms are often used to describe them, when referring to fastening systems, we encompass all articles such as nails, screws, washers, nuts, bushings, grub screws, rivets, and many others, which are utilized in our work, whether it be at a professional level or as a simple hobby.

The importance of these small hardware elements is frequently underestimated; however, selecting the correct fastening system requires careful consideration to ensure proper grip, resulting in solidity, effectiveness, and durability.

Fastening systems used in various industries and sectors are diverse, each possessing unique characteristics suitable for different purposes; hence, professionals meticulously assess their options. It is no coincidence that the market offers a plethora of shapes, materials, dimensions, etc., facilitating the procurement of elements to construct the most suitable fastening system for any given circumstance.
In general, each application field utilizes specific components, and material selection, based on its intrinsic properties, stands out as one of the most decisive factors. As suppliers of plastic hardware, we offer an array of elements ideal for plastic fastening systems.

Among the most commonly employed solutions are screws, representing threaded elements, often accompanied by washers and/or bushings to distribute tightening loads more effectively, along with nuts that aid in proper assembly. Rivets, clips, or, for the more experienced, fasteners, are equally notable—these lightweight yet sturdy elements facilitate easy and precise joining of two components.
All these small plastic hardware items differentiate themselves based on various factors such as type, dimensions, material, and resistance classes. Moreover, the extensive use of these elements necessitates exploiting characteristics that differ in many aspects. What certainly unites these articles is their connection to the properties of plastic materials, namely: lightness, strength, and electrical non-conductivity, all of which are now fundamental characteristics in various industrial sectors such as electronics, automotive, communications, robotics, etc.

In conclusion, we could only add that these simple hardware items, which often go unnoticed, are instead fundamental for ensuring safety and stability in countless applications. Therefore, it is of absolute importance to carefully select the elements to use.
