OUR ‘INVISIBLE’ ALLIES
IN FURNITURE & INTERIOR DESIGN
We live in the age of technical and social reproducibility, where we follow trends and fashions, which in so many ways make us the same as each other. The only place where you can and should really feel like yourself is your home. The place of your thoughts, the place where you express your everyday life, your personality and your way of doing and of seeing the world, should therefore shine through in the decor of your home.
The choice of rooms, furnishings, colors, lights and style should really make you feel satisfied, whether you do everything yourself or employ a professional figure, such as an interior designer.
The field of interior design and furniture is a complex world, because it has to take into account many aspects such as functionality, comfort, safety and aesthetics of the space. In this case, fastening and assembly play a key role.
When we open a cabinet door, or any door, move a chair or take an object from the cupboard, we certainly do not think about fasteners and accessories used in such commonly used objects; they are indeed effective, largely invisible solutions that make our home safer and more comfortable.
Elements such as fasteners can be found almost everywhere, in any object of furniture and everyday use: tables, chairs, doors, cabinets, bookcases, wardrobes, lighting, shelves, etc.
These fasteners used in furniture must meet certain requirements such as durability, resistance to wear, tear and stress, they must be easy and quick to install and, last but not least, they must be aesthetically pleasing.
Looking at the different types of fasteners, we certainly have a wide and valid choice of small parts such as screws, nuts, bolts, bushings and snap-fit rivets in addition to fasteners, the so-called “invisible” ones, which reduce the aesthetic impact and allow more freedom in construction.
In choosing the right fasteners, many factors play their part: tightening force, stress resistance and electrical non-conductivity; you can find each one of them in the plastic fasteners offered by Us.
With a more specific application, but equally complicit, useful in the assembly phase, and almost invisible, we find plastic tubes connectors. These square connectors are used to connect different tubes, they get pushed in and require no fastening. Multi-way square tube connectors are the ideal solution for a quick and easy assembly of a tubular frame or tubes network, enabling the creation of shelving that looks both functional and artistic.
These elements are indeed used by those who make stands and need to easily assemble and disassemble a structure, but it is well known that design places no limits on the imagination, and often many interior design ideas draw inspiration from different worlds and industries.
